Americans allocated a huge budget for Mother’s Day

The US National Retail Association (NRF) released the results of its Mother’s Day survey of 8,164 people.

According to the survey, 84 percent of American consumers plan to celebrate Mother’s Day.

Consumers are expected to spend a record $35.7 billion on Mother’s Day this year, an increase of $4 billion from last year.

The amount US consumers plan to spend per capita is forecast to be $274.02 on average.

SPECIAL TOURS AVAILABLE

Flowers and greeting cards are among the most frequently planned gifts, at 74 percent each, and special trips, such as dinner or brunch, at 60 percent.

Consumers are expected to spend a total of $7.8 billion on jewelry, $5.6 billion on special trips and $4 billion on electronics.

Last year it was forecast that a total of 31.7 billion dollars would be spent on Mother’s Day, breaking the record, and per capita spending would amount to 245.76 billion dollars. (AA)
