The inflation of foreign producers fell to 40.35 percent annually in March

The Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) announced the Foreign Producer Price Index (YD-PPI) for March.

Thus, in March, the YD-IPP increased 1.65 percent monthly, 40.35 percent compared to the same month of the previous year, 6.16 percent compared to December last year and 79.2 percent with compared to the twelve-month averages.

In February, YD-PPI rose 48.13 percent on a yearly basis and 0.42 percent on a monthly basis.

Looking at year-on-year changes in the two industry sectors, there was an increase of 33.63 percent in mining and quarrying, and 40.48 percent in manufacturing.

THE GREATEST INCREASE IS IN CAPITAL GOODS

Considering the annual variations of the main industrial groups, an increase of 39.26 percent was observed in intermediate goods, 42.80 percent in durable consumer goods, 39.44 percent in non-durable consumer goods, 23.04 percent in energy and 44.24 percent in capital goods.

The monthly variations in the two industry sectors were calculated as a 1.35 percent increase in mining and quarrying and a 1.66 percent increase in manufacturing.

According to the annual YD-PPI, 9 sub-sectors changed lower and 16 sub-sectors showed higher changes.

SECTORS WITH HIGHEST MONTHLY INCREASE

Among the YD-PPI sectors, metallic minerals at 15.9 percent, coke and refined petroleum products at 23.04 percent, and base metals at 30.03 percent were the subsectors where the indices increased the least. .

For their part, beverages were determined at 64.70 percent, other non-metallic mineral products at 56.47 percent and 55.18 percent, excluding metal products, machinery and equipment, as the subsectors where the indices increased the most.

According to the monthly YD-PPI, 15 sub-sectors changed lower and 10 sub-sectors showed higher changes.

When looked at monthly, it was seen that the only subsector that decreased was that of computers, electronic and optical products with 0.10 percent. On the other hand, beverages with 6.62 percent, other manufactures with 4.08 percent and basic metals with 3.25 percent were registered as the subsectors where the indices increased the most.
