Project-based support to the pulp mill in Adana
The pulp production plant to be built by Maren Maraş Elektrik Sanayi ve Ticaret AŞ in Adana will benefit from “project-based supports”.
The Presidential Decision on the subject was published in the Official Gazette.
Consequently, the pulp production facility and port investment to be carried out by Maren Maraş Elektrik Sanayi ve Ticaret AŞ will be supported within the framework of the procedures and principles specified in the Decision on granting state aid for project-based investment.
The investment, whose start date is March 10, 2023, is targeted for a period of 5 years.
With the project with a fixed investment of TL 61 billion 910 million, 1630 additional jobs are foreseen.
At the end of the investment period, 1 million tons of pulp production and 6 million tons of dry cargo capacity will be reached annually.
The investment project will be granted a customs duty exemption, VAT exemption, VAT refund, tax reduction, insurance premium, support from the employer, support from qualified personnel, interest support and/or profit sharing , energy support, support for the location of the investment. (AA)
