Erdogan’s message “Continue the Turkish economic model”
President Tayyip Erdoğan pointed out that the Turkish economic model will continue after the elections.
Speaking on the show he attended on TRT last night, Erdoğan stated that inflation is high right now, saying, “But it was much higher, it has come this far and it will continue to go down. Because what we care about is low interest rates, not high inflation. High investment with low interest. We have to achieve this,” he said.
Stating that they focused on investment, employment, production and growth based on the current account surplus, Erdoğan said, “I hope we will continue this successfully in the period after May 14.”
“You say there is no return from the Turkish model economy, right?” “Everyone in the world talks about their own model. We call it the ‘Türkiye Model’. With the Türkiye Model, we will set an example in the world. They will see it.
Erdogan said: “We will lower the interest rate and we have lowered it. What happened? Are we sunk? Everyone keeps raising interest rates. We lowered the interest rate, we are lowering it,” he said.
NOT INCLUDED IN THE ELECTION DECLARATION
The Turkish economy model, which was announced in December 2021 and brought the inflation peak in 24 years, was not included in the AKP election manifesto announced last week.
While the “new economy team” was emphasized in the statement, it was stated that the policies would be updated. (REUTERS-SPEAKER)
