The market prices rebelled both to the public and to the merchants.

The market prices rebelled both to the public and to the merchants.

CHP Istanbul MP Gürsel Tekin went to the Tuesday market in Kadıköy to investigate prices and listen to the concerns of citizens and producers.

“I FORGOT MY FOOD AT HOME, I AM VERY SAD”

When visiting the stalls of the young people who work to contribute to their families, Tekin asked the price of the products sold in the school canteen.

Stating that the price of toast starts at 20-23 TL, the young lady said, “I forgot my food at home once, I was very upset. The first time I had to buy meatball bread. Even if the minimum wage is increased, goods and materials are also increased. It doesn’t help,” she said.

Tekin, on the other hand, said: “While our children must study at school, at home, they come to work to contribute to their families and go to school during the week.” saying.

Another young man at the counter, who said he was in his second year of high school, complained about the high prices in the canteen, saying, ‘Not everyone can have toast in the canteen. We’re talking about the cost among ourselves. We’re bouncing ideas,’ Where can we eat cheaper?’

THE PRICE OF DRIED ONIONS EXCEEDS 25 TL

A trader who was selling onions in the market, reacting to the exorbitant increase in onion prices, said: “Is there an onion for 25 lira? 3 lire of onion is 25 lira. How can merchants buy and eat it? We were buying that onion for 3 lira. We were pouring and planting in the fields, half of it was rotting. Now the nation does not refuse, the gold has passed ”. he said.

SECOND HAND SHOES 150 TL

Tekin, who also visited a second-hand shoe stall, couldn’t hide his surprise when he heard that a second-hand shoe cost 150 lira. “People are not in a position to buy second-hand clothes or even shoes,” Tekin said.

“HOW WILL THIS NATION LIVE?”

A citizen who said he gave 52 lira for cheese said: “Small cheese costs 52.5 TL. This is where the country has come from. How will these people live? Well, it has to change now. We need to be united. If we come together, we’ll get somewhere.” he said.

“2 DRINKS 90TL”

Saying that two pancakes cost 90 lira, Tekin said: “Whereas two years ago, they sold here for 5 lira, two of them now sell for 90 lira. Vote accordingly,” he said.
