Financing of 140 million euros from the EBRD to the airport of Antalya
The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) announced that it will provide financing of €140 million to Fraport TAV Antalya Investment, Construction and Operations (FTA) for the investment in Antalya airport.
The bank’s statement said the equity investment bridge loan in question is part of a financing package that includes funds from the International Finance Corporation (IFC) and the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB).
In the statement, it was stated that the financing of 140 million euros provided by the EBRD to the FTA will allow the completion of the new infrastructure of the Antalya airport, increase energy efficiency and make green investments, such as solar power plants.

EBRD Sustainable Infrastructure Group Nandita Parshad, in her assessment of the financing, stated that Antalya Airport is an important infrastructure in the growth of the tourism sector and economy in Turkey and said: “We are pleased that FTA is building a more sustainable future here.
TAV Airports CFO Burcu Geriş noted that this financing will contribute to increasing capacity at the airport and ongoing investments will strengthen the position of Antalya airport. (AA)
