BRSA: NPL of banks approached 160 billion
According to the weekly bulletin published by the BRSA, the sector’s loan volume increased by 73.823 billion lira as of March 17. In said period, the total volume of loans increased from 8 trillion 172 billion 867 million liras to 8 trillion 246 billion 690 million liras.
Total deposits in the banking sector (including interbank) increased by 159.995 billion lira last week. The total deposits of the banking sector in the week in question were 9 trillion 814 billion 162 million lira.
CONSUMER LOANS INCREASE TO 1 TRILLION 226 BILLION LIRA
According to data from BRSA; As of March 17, the amount of consumer loans increased by 8.387 billion liras to 1 trillion 234.553 billion liras. 379 trillion 419 million lira of such loans consisted of housing loans, 60 trillion 75 million lira for vehicles and 795 trillion 59 million lira for consumer loans.
INDIVIDUAL CREDIT CARD DEBTS INCREASE TO 130 MILLION LIRA 526 BILLION
The amount of commercial loans with installments increased by 8.104 billion liras and reached 1.6 billion 821 million liras. Retail credit card debts increased to 526 billion 130 million lira. 272.768 million liras of personal credit card debts were paid in installments and 253.361 million liras were paid without installments.
NPL ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE FROM THE BANKING SECTOR INCREASED TO 159 BILLION 390 MILLION TL
According to BRSA data, non-performing loans in the banking sector increased by 239 million liras compared to the previous week and reached 159.39 billion liras as of March 17. A special provision has been reserved for TL 138 billion 984 million of the aforementioned non-performing loans.
THE DEPOSIT WITH CURRENCY PROTECTION INCREASED TO 1 TRILLION 639 BILLION LIRA
