90 percent increase in Ramadan plots of Agricultural Credit

Ramadan packages increased from 169 TL to 320 TL on the Agricultural Credit Market

Ramadan parcels, which cost 169 lira last year at the Agricultural Credit Union markets, have risen to 320 lira this year. The same package cost only 49 lira in 2018. “Where were the prices set?” CHP Niğde MP Ömer Fethi Gürer asked: “Food inflation continues, those with fixed and low income will have a very difficult Ramadan. “The fixed price narrative is smiling like a rise on the shelf,” said the AKP president.

Gürer pointed out that although President Erdoğan at every opportunity said that the products in the sales markets of the Agricultural Credit Cooperatives were cheap, the prices in these markets increased by almost 100 percent compared to the previous year.

By showing one by one the products in the Ramadan package that he bought from the Agricultural Credit Union and comparing the prices of the products last year with the prices of this year, Gürer stated that the Ramadan package, which was 49 TL in 2018, it went up to 169 TL last year and up to 320 TL this year.

BULGUR, CHICKEN, LENTILS…

Gürer received 1 kg of bulgur, chickpeas, rice, lentils, sugar, flour, half a kg of tea, 1 liter of sunflower oil, 2 of pasta and 2 of soup, 1 packet of salt and 830 grams in the Ramadan package he bought. to the Farm Credit Union, said there was salt.

WITHOUT OLIVES, CHEESE AND MEAT

Stating that there is no cheese or olives in the Ramadan package and that red and white meat are not considered in this package, Gürer said: “Considering the increase in bread prices, this year the Ramadan tables will be set by almost 100 percent. compared to last year. The poor will reduce what they eat and fast according to their budget,” he said.

WHAT PRICES ARE FIXED?

Noting that AKP Chairman Erdoğan made statements that market prices were fixed and there were discounts in agricultural credit unions, CHP’s Gürer emphasized that last year’s prices were compared to this year’s prices, and that it can be clearly seen that these statements do not reflect the truth. .

THERE IS A FIRE IN THE KITCHEN…

Stating that food inflation continues and those on fixed and low incomes will have a very difficult Ramadan this year, Gürer said: “As the price rise continues, the backs of citizens are bent, the fire in the kitchen continues . As increase comes after increase, peace leaves, problems increase, poverty spreads. Citizens cannot put many products on their table. In addition to the prices of vegetables and fruits, the rapid increase in meat prices in recent months is pushing the budgets of families. For retirees, the problem is getting worse. We also made a bill to increase the vacation bonus to the level of the minimum wage. The AKP government has not taken any action in this context,” he said.
