The Ministry carries out market surveillance and inspection activities for products such as textiles, shoes, stationery, furniture, child care products, toys, and detergents used by consumers.
BABY AND KIDS PRODUCTS GET EMPOWERED
It has been claimed that various measures have been taken to ensure the safety of infants and children, who are considered to be particularly sensitive consumer groups.
With the “Communiqué on the Control of Conformity in Certain Consumer Products”, emphasis was placed on the sale of balloons filled with volatile gas, decorative products that grow in liquid, roller blind cords, etc., which can directly affect health and child safety.
The Ministry also carried out international activities on the subject. The International Product Safety Week, held from November 15 to 17, 2022, was followed online. They also attended meetings of the European Commission Expert Group on Detergents and Toys.
Every year before the school season, before the 2022-2023 academic year, product safety inspections were also carried out by the Ministry of stationery, school uniforms and footwear, in order to identify products that pose a risk to health and safety. of consumers. .

Within the scope of the inspection activities of the Ministry, in 2020, 1,242 companies were inspected, while the number of products inspected was 3,255, the number of companies with insecurity was 70, and the number of products with insecurity was 1. million 567 thousand 950. The number of companies audited increased to 4,491 in 2021.
