Increased ferry schedules in Izmir

Fares for ferries affiliated with İZDENİZ A.Ş., the shipping company of İzmir Metropolitan Municipality, have been increased. In line with the unanimous decision taken at the General Assembly of the Transport Coordination Center (UKOME) on March 8, the increase in fuel, maintenance and repair and personnel expenses was evaluated and the price increase in fares was made. at rates between 18 and 25 percent.

With the new tariff that will come into effect on Saturday, March 11, 2023, toll for motorcycles from 16 TL to 20 TL, toll for cars from 55 TL to 65 TL, toll for minibuses-trucks-midibus from 125 TL to 150 TL, bus toll – truck toll increased from 230 TL to 280 TL, truck toll increased from 430 TL to 520 TL. As long as no fee is charged to the passengers of the transported vehicles, the fee of 5 cents that applies to cyclists will be maintained.

55 TIMES A DAY

In order to increase the share of maritime transport in the city, 55 trips are organized on the Bostanlı-Üçkuyular line every 15 minutes during the day, during the week and 51 on weekends.

In order to minimize the increase in transportation costs for İzmir residents, İzmir Metropolitan Municipality provides a subsidy to İZDENİZ for one transported vehicle, approximately equal to the transportation cost of three vehicles. Izmir Metropolitan Municipality applies the lowest rate per mile traveled, taking into account the current rate schedule of other companies engaged in shipping in Turkey.
