Eight workers from the United Metal-İş union were fired at the Satera electrical and electronics factory in Arnavutköy, Istanbul.
About 100 workers work at the factory, which was established two years ago with the partnership of Cengiz Holding and Kolin İnşaat, companies close to the government, and still produces electricity meters.
