The purchasing power of the head of the department, which was 27,950 liras in January, decreased to 23,860 liras by melting 4,090 liras. In the second month of the year, there was a loss of 1,712 lira in the salary of those who work in public service personnel, which was 11,700 lira at the beginning of the year, and the loss in the purchasing power of the nurse. salary reached 2 thousand 290 liras.

Retired 805 lira, lost minimum wage 1245 lira

As inflation nearly swallowed up wage increases, minimum wage earners suffered severe income losses in the face of the high cost of living, as did retirees. In this context, the purchasing power of the lowest pensioner’s pension, which was 7,582 liras in January, decreased to 6,473 liras at the beginning of March, according to ENAG calculations. The purchasing power of the pension of the lowest pensioner worker, merchant and farmer, which was 5,500 liras, decreased to 4,695 liras. The purchasing power of the minimum wage, which was increased to 8,506 lira at the beginning of 2023, decreased by 773 lira to 7,261 lira, according to TUIK.
