Change in the decision on loans made by Halkbank to merchants
The President’s Decision, which includes an amendment to the decision on loans granted by Halk Bank to merchants and craftsmen, entered into force after its publication in the Official Gazette today.
Within the scope of the regulation, the merchants and artisans who benefited from the support of other public institutions and organizations in the form of interest or concession support in the last 3 years from the date of application, will not receive loans with reduced interest for the same company.
A commitment will be made from the merchants and artisans who will use the loan, declaring that they have not benefited from interest or aid granted by other institutions and public bodies in the last 3 years.
IF DETERMINED, THE INTEREST SUPPORT WILL BE CANCELED
If it is determined that these supports have been used, all interest supports will be cancelled.
Before the change, merchants and artisans could benefit from Halkbank interest or grant supports every 5 years, while there was no limit on the loan amount in the corresponding article.
Thus, the requirement for Halkbank to benefit from interest or provide support to merchants and artisans was reduced from 5 to 3 years.
In addition, the opportunity to benefit from support below 75 thousand lire has been paved without waiting for a while.
On the other hand, with the article added to the decision within the scope of the amendment, Halkbank will be obliged to obtain taxpayer records from the Revenue Administration and carry out the necessary checks. (AA)
