Payments of debt restructuring installments in the earthquake zone were postponed

The payment terms of the debt installments of the restructured credits under Law No. 7256 in the earthquake zone were postponed until the end of the force majeure situation.

According to the president’s decision published in today’s edition of the Official Gazette, in the provinces of Adana, Adıyaman, Diyarbakır, Elazığ, Gaziantep, Hatay, Kahramanmaraş, Kilis, Malatya, Osmaniye and Şanlıurfa, which were declared in a state of force due to the earthquakes, and in the Gürün District of the Sivas Province, those whose credits are structured within the scope of the Law. The payment term of the first installment to be paid to the administrations will be made in the month following the end of the force majeure situation, and the payments of the next installments will be made in periods of two months following this month.

According to the decision, the installments that must be paid in monthly installments in accordance with subsection e) of the third paragraph of article 3 of Law No. 7256 and subsection e) of the third paragraph of Law No. 7326 may be paid in installments monthly from the month following the end of the force majeure situation.
