In the future, different non-governmental organizations such as AHBAP and business representatives such as the Turkish Exporters Assembly and the Turkish Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges are preparing to implement campaigns and projects that will create permanent accommodation here. The earthquake survivors, who have to stay in tents set up in sports halls, use the cafeterias both to sleep and to eat and drink. On the other hand, aid trucks continue to arrive.
6 thousand earthquake victims in educational institutions
İTHİB President Ahmet Öksüz stated that as Kipaş Holding, they opened educational institutions for citizens and 6 thousand earthquake victims stayed there, saying, “Currently 6 thousand of our people stay there. We even started directing our employees to our educational institutions. We are also trying to get the city up again,” he said.

Ahmet Öksüz, president of the Istanbul Association of Textile and Raw Materials Exporters (İTHİB), said that the problem of employee accommodation must be solved first. Öksüz said: “For this reason, we as TİM are working to provide shelter for earthquake victims, especially in the OIZs. Therefore, we want both to support the housing problem and to integrate people and factories into production. As TİM, we will establish OIZ shelters in the region. Our goal is to build at least 100 buildings. We intend to place at least 10,000 victims of the earthquake in them, ”he said.
