Net sales of €3.1 billion mean organic growth of 8.9% for Arcadis. The good numbers are partly due to growing investments in the energy transition. Arcadis has also managed to fill its order book further and now has a record amount of work on the shelf.
Acquisitions
Arcadis has invested heavily in the last year and has acquired several companies. “But that is modestly reflected in the figures,” says CEO Peter Oosterveer. ‘We only included a quarter of one acquisition and a month of the second acquisition in the figures. So our numbers actually show 95 percent of Arcadis ahead of all acquisitions.
Looking ahead, Arcadis is better positioned after all the acquisitions, even in markets where strong growth is expected, according to the CEO.
“All in all, 2022 has been another successful year for Arcadis and we are in a strong position,” said Oosterveer, who will hand the helm to Chief Operating Officer Alan Brookes following May’s shareholders meeting after six years.
