100 thousand liras of cash aid will be given.

Who will be given 100 thousand lira of cash and rent support?

After the cabinet meeting with the earthquake agenda, President Erdoğan announced the next steps. Erdogan announced the monetary aid that will be delivered to those affected by the earthquake, but has not yet given information on the date on which the payments will be made.

WHO WILL BE GRANTED 100 THOUSAND LIRA IN CASH AID?

Making an announcement about monetary aid, Erdogan’s statements are as follows;

* In this context, I have already announced that we will provide 15,000 lira relocation assistance per household, which has first become uninhabitable, and rental assistance between 5,000 lira and 2,000 lira, as well as 10,000 lira per familiar. We cover the fuel costs of our citizens who take their families to cities outside the earthquake zone with their own vehicles. In addition, we provide 100,000 lira in cash to the relatives of our citizens who lost their lives in the earthquake for their urgent needs.

* We will also provide additional support to our citizens according to the needs that arise in the coming days. As a state and a nation, we will not leave any victim or oppressed uncared for. We already know the generosity of our nation and the richness of heart of our business people from past disasters. Our institutions have already taken action. Under the leadership of our Ministry of Finance and Treasury, our banking sector allocated a certain percentage of its 2022 profit, currently around 50 billion lira, to the earthquake as a solidarity package. This amount will be used for the work to be carried out in favor of those affected by the earthquake. In addition, credit guarantee funds have been prepared for companies in the region.
