The cost of the energy crisis for European countries is close to 800,000 million euros.

The amount of financial measures adopted in response to the energy crisis in European countries amounted to approximately 800,000 million euros.

The study by the think tank Bruegel, based in Brussels, entitled “Responses of national fiscal policy to the energy crisis” has been published.

Consequently, the increase in wholesale energy prices led the governments of European countries to take measures to protect consumers from the direct impact of the price increase.

In this context, a total of 792 billion euros was allocated to protect consumers from rising energy costs in the period from September 2021 to January 2023, when the energy crisis began in European countries.

HEAD OF GERMANY

With a total of 268,100 million euros, Germany becomes the country that allocates the most resources to the energy crisis among European countries.

Germany with 103.3 billion euros, England with 99.3 billion euros, France with 92.1 billion euros, Spain with 40.2 billion euros, the Netherlands with 39.2 billion euros, Austria with 21.5 billion euros, Denmark with 20.6 billion euros and Poland with 12,400 million euros.

In the relationship between financial measures against the energy crisis and national income, Slovakia ranked first with 9.3 percent.

THE HIGHEST ALLOCATION OF RESOURCES PER PERSON IS IN LUXEMBOURG

This country is followed by Germany with 7.5 percent, Malta with 7.1 percent, Denmark with 6.1 percent, Bulgaria with 5.7 percent, and Italy with 5.6 percent.

Thus, 27 member countries of the EU allocated 681,000 million euros against the energy crisis.

Luxembourg with 3,765 Euros, Denmark with 3,512 Euros, Germany with 3,221 Euros, Austria with 2,399 Euros and the Netherlands with 2,227 Euros made the highest allocation of per capita resources in the face of the energy crisis in the countries Europeans. (AA)
