Construction is reportedly scheduled to finish on November 27, 2018. It has been 8 years. This time, DSI has opened a new tender to complete the construction of Kale Dam. The tender for “Castle Dam Supply” was held on December 30, 2022. The partnership of 3 different construction companies won the tender, which was carried out by the invitation method.

As a result of the tender, a contract worth 260 million 753 thousand 747 TL was signed on January 20, 2023. The completion date of the dam has been determined as February 13, 2025. The bidding cost to complete the Kale Dam has reached 7 times that of the construction bidding. The cost of the dam increased to 296 million 615 thousand TL. In the supply tender, it was indicated that works would be carried out such as the production of missing fills in the dam body, bottom spillway, spillway structures, energy-breaking pool structure, valve room, slope lining, and dam measurement devices.
