Public accounts receivable are restructured
AKP President and Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdogan, in a statement after the cabinet meeting, announced that they are preparing a bill that will restructure public accounts receivable.
“WE LIMIT THE DEBT PENALTY”
Erdoğan said:
* “We are preparing a bill to restructure the public credits of our institutions such as tax offices, customs offices, SSI, municipalities, and special provincial administrations. We suppress the sanctions for debts with our institutions and public bodies, especially the tax and premium obligations of our citizens and companies. We offer the opportunity to update these debts at a certain rate and pay them in installments. The defendant’s tax and premium files will also fall within this scope. With the proposal, we provide the increase of the base and the correction of the business records.
* We put an end to the increase in debt for higher education loans. In the past, we have eliminated debt created with the index. With this arrangement, we make it possible to restructure non-index debt and pay it off in installments.
“WE EXPECT THE COLLECTION OF PENALTIES THAT DO NOT EXCEED 2 THOUSAND LIRA”
* As is known, we have made the arrangement to liquidate the execution debts not exceeding 2 thousand lira and put an end to their proceedings. Now, we are implementing the same practice for our citizens who have a debt that does not exceed 2 thousand liras in all titles, such as taxes, fines and interest. We waive the collection of fines for debts that do not exceed 2 thousand liras to the tax offices before December 21, 2022. The main objective of the regulations we make is to prevent the state and its citizens from clashing over trifling matters” .
