Ministry of Commerce granted inward processing permission to 731 companies in December

The Ministry of Commerce issued permits for 731 companies in December last year within the scope of the inward processing regime.

The lists of inward processing, sales and internal delivery, outward processing permit and inward processing permit certificates from the Ministry canceled at the request of the firm for December 2022 were published in the Official Gazette.

As a result, inward processing permits were granted to 731 companies last month and 14 domestic sales and delivery documents were prepared.

The number of inward processing permit certificates that were canceled based on the company’s request was 3. In that month, outward processing permit certificates were issued for 2 companies.

WHAT IS THE INTERNAL TREATMENT REGIME?

The information on the Ministry’s website includes the following information on the inward processing regime;

“In order to make our export products competitive in world markets and diversify our export products, with customs exemption from world market prices, without being subject to trade policy measures, raw materials, auxiliary materials, which are necessary for the production of the exported product and cannot be obtained from the internal markets in terms of price and/or quality. It is an economically effective customs regime that allows the importation of packaging materials and packaging materials.

In the Inward Processing Regime, two types of inward processing measures are applied, namely, the conditional exemption regime and the reimbursement regime, in the conditional exemption regime the taxes caused during importation are insured, while in the Inward Processing Regime, the Reimbursement regime the tax is collected during import and in case of export of the transformed product, the tax is reimbursed.
