Tweet defending Elon Musk
Elon Musk, chief executive of electric car maker Tesla, argued that his tweets did not cause Tesla’s stock price to go up or down, in a lawsuit that was sued over a Twitter post he made in 2018.
Musk made his defense in San Francisco Federal Court in the lawsuit filed against him by Tesla investors for a post he made in 2018.
Saying his actions on Twitter don’t mean people believe him or act on him, Musk said Tesla didn’t cause the stock price to go up or down.
SHAREHOLDERS DECLARE THEY HAVE BEEN SCAMED
Tesla CEO Musk stated in a 2018 Twitter post that he was considering taking the company off the stock market by paying $420 per share, and the funds were secured for this.
Tesla investors, on the other hand, filed a lawsuit against Musk, claiming they were swindled and suffered billions of dollars in losses.
Lawyers for the plaintiffs say Musk made the post deliberately and caused an imbalance in Tesla’s stock. (AA)
