Prof. Dr. Özgür Demirtaş Economic Commentary: Get well soon

Chair of the Faculty of Business Finance at Sabancı University Prof. Dr. Özgür Demirtaş criticized the government’s interest policy on Twitter. In his assessment of the economy, which received tens of thousands of interactions in a short time and ended with the phrase “Get well soon”, Demirtaş said:

“They told us that we would be like China.
It was said that we will manage with Nas.
It was said that we will lower the interest rate and make TL cheaper.
It was said that we are going to export with cheap labor.

They said that we will become the China of Europe with cheap labor. They exploited INFLATION for the sake of cheap labor.

Then they noticed that when the dollar/TL increases, inflation explodes. They looked that the election will be bad. They said let’s keep the dollar and raise wages.

Now the exporters have exploded and they are going to lay off workers. IS A LIE?
