The shopping center’s turnover increased by 140 percent annually in November
The November results of the Shopping Center Index, which was created jointly by the Association of Shopping Centers and Investors and Akademeter Research, were announced.
According to the data that is published periodically every month, the turnover index increased 140.4 percent to 1,356 points in November, if compared with the same month of the previous year and not adjusted for inflation.
Considering that the annual inflation rate announced for November was 84.39 percent, it was observed that the increase in the productivity index per square meter was above the inflation rate. The productivity index per square meter increased by 4.5 percent compared to October.
The turnover per leasable area (square meter) in shopping centers was 6,824 TL in Istanbul and 4,069 TL in Anatolia in November. The efficiency per square meter in Turkey was 5,171 TL.
THE NUMBER OF VISITORS INCREASED 16 PERCENT
When the index is analyzed on a category basis, the rate of increase is 171.1 percent in the technology category, 148.8 percent in the footwear category, 137.9 percent in the apparel category, 134.4 percent in the food and beverage category, 126.6 percent in the other category, and 118 percent in the hypermarket category.
In November, the number of visits index rose 16 percent to 87 points. (AA)
