There is no increase in electricity
The Chairman of the Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EMRA) Mustafa Yılmaz stated that there was no increase in residential subscribers in the new tariff period and a 16 percent discount in the group of industrial subscribers.
“There is no increase or increase for residential subscribers in the new rate period. Currently, residences benefit from the lowest rate,” Yılmaz said, adding, “There is a 16 percent discount in the group of industrial subscribers. Furthermore, with another decision made by our Board, we reduce the maximum price of electricity from 4,800 TL/MWh to 4,200 TL/MWh on the free market.”
Yilmaz said: “Therefore, we expect the cost of electricity to decrease by 10 to 15 percent, especially in industrial establishments that consume electricity above the price of electricity sold on the free market.”
‘REDUCTION OF COST DUE’
Yılmaz also said that the maximum market clearing price shows the maximum electricity sales price in the electricity trade, and that the maximum price, which had previously been high especially due to the costs of imported coal and natural gas, was reduced due to resource-based cost reductions. .
