Mondi Turkey Corrugated Paper and Packaging Industry Inc. In its statement to Public Disclosure Platform (KAP), it announced that it had decided to close the Adana West Factory facility.

He indicated that the Board of Directors decided to close the factory, where corrugated cardboard boxes are produced and sold, due to insufficient production efficiency, low number of orders and because it was not at a level to compete with other businesses.

In the statement made, it was indicated: “The cessation of activities in Adana West Factory will not have a significant impact on the total production and sales of the company, and the amount of production carried out in Adana West Factory may be carried out by the other units. company’s production facilities, including the Adana East Factory”.

’83 EMPLOYEES WILL BE LAID OFF’

In the statement, in which it was indicated that the employment contract of 83 workers who work in the factory will be terminated, the following statements were included;

“Various plans are being drawn up for all employees affected by the Adana West Factory closure. As of the date of the announcement, the total severance and notice severance pay expected to be paid to employees whose employment contract will be terminated is TL 16,741,000, and this figure will be revised after the severance pay ceiling of 2023 and 2023.
