Aksu, president of the Taxi Drivers Chamber of Commerce: We will demand an increase again

Eyüp Aksu, Chairman of the Taxi Drivers Chamber of Merchants, made a statement after the decision of the increase at the UKOME meeting. Aksu, who followed the meeting with 50 taxi drivers in Yenikapi, said;

“At the meeting, we offered a raise of at least 50 percent. Unfortunately, it was not done at this pace with the commission’s decision. Our expenses, such as vehicle prices, labor, parts and fuel prices, increased by more than 100 percent. Considering the citizens, the commission did not approve our request.

Now, the opening fee, which was 28 liras, became 40 liras. In terms of ratio, it corresponds to 42.86%. The wait was 67.20 lire, it became 100.80. The waiting fee was increased by 50 percent. Mileage was 6.30, became 8.51. It increased by 35%. If you hit the average of these three levels, a 40 percent increase was realized. That is to say, we insisted on 50 percent, but an increase of 40 percent was made”.

‘THE TAXIMETER WILL BE ADJUSTED ON THE WEEKEND’

Expressing that the appreciation is in the commission, Aksu said, “We will demand an increase again against our expenses. We will receive the letter from IMM tomorrow or the day after. The taximeter will be adjusted over the weekend on the 1st of the month, ”he said.

While Eyüp Aksu was making statements, some taxi drivers reacted to those who left the meeting. A taxi driver yelled: “You are rude, you finished us off.” Colleagues calmed down the taxi driver. At the end of the statement, the taxi drivers left the area. (DHA)
