Statement of the last meeting on the minimum wage of the Minister of Labor
After the third meeting of the Minimum Wage Determination Commission yesterday, a new statement arrived on when the last meeting would be held.
Vedat Bilgin, Minister of Labor and Social Security, said: “Negotiations for the minimum wage are continuing. Unfortunately, there was no result yesterday,” he said.
Regarding when the fourth minimum wage meeting will take place, Bilgin said: “The date is not determined yet, negotiations are ongoing.”
TÜRK-İŞ REQUESTED 9 THOUSAND TL
Türk-İş announced in a statement after yesterday’s meeting that their official offer was TL 9,000 and that they would not sign a figure below that.
Türk-İş President Ergün Atalay said: “We conveyed our proposal to the minister and the commission. Our official offer is 9 thousand TL,” he said and continued as follows.
“If they do, we sign, if they don’t, we’re not involved.”
