Eximbank received a loan of 150 million euros from the Council of Europe Development Bank
Türk Eximbank signed a loan agreement with the Council of Europe Development Bank (AKKB) for a maximum term of 7 years of 150 million euros, under the guarantee of the Ministry of Finance.
With said loan, to finance the working and investment capital needs of SMEs that operate in the export sector; In exchange for the export commitment, it is intended to provide low-interest, medium-term support and thus protect the labor employed by these companies.
THE FUND PROVIDED BY AKKB INCREASES TO 400 MILLION EUROS
Türk Eximbank CEO Ali Güney, whose views were included in the statement, said:
“The aforementioned resource will be used under attractive conditions to finance fixed capital investments and working capital needs of micro, small and medium-sized companies with less than 250 workers for export services and foreign exchange.
The goal is for at least 53 million euros of this loan to be used by women exporters and SMEs in the private sector that support women’s participation in the labor force. Together with the two financing transactions that we successfully completed with AKKB, the total amount of funds that we obtained from AKKB reached 400 million euros” (AA)
