Railway workers in France go on strike

Rail transport workers have gone on strike in the Ile-de-France region, which also includes the French capital, Paris.

According to French press reports, employees of the SNCF railway company decided to go on strike from last night until December 19, demanding a wage increase and better working conditions.

While many flights were canceled due to the strike, the biggest disruption occurred on the RER lines C and R, N and U, which operate between Paris and its suburbs. SNCF, on the other hand, asked passengers to constantly check the current schedules of national trains during the day to avoid wasting time.

On the other hand, there are also interruptions in the high-speed trains that run between the cities of Paris-Limoges-Toulouse, Paris-Clermont, Nantes-Lyon, Toulouse-Hendaye and Beziers-Clermont. (AA)
