Traffic insurance requests the SEDDK: Suspend the driver’s license of those who cause many accidents
“You know, we are in the top 20 economies. Our insurance ranks 38th. We should at least get closer to the point where our economy is at,” Eroğlu said. “We cannot achieve different results by doing the same things. Therefore, we need a paradigm shift as an industry. I think the role of regulations is very important in this paradigm shift, and that the legislative infrastructure is very important.”
‘TRAFFIC INSURANCE TAKES ENERGY FROM ALL OF US’
“We all have a traffic insurance problem that occupies every day,” said Eroğlu. While we should be talking about designing the future here, we are talking about traffic,” he said.
Expressing that what is needed in traffic at the moment is a change in culture, Eroğlu said that they have presented a roadmap in traffic insurance in this direction.
‘THE ACCIDENT REHABILITATE’
“We put risky insurance in a completely separate category. Eroğlu said: “We will also impose serious sanctions on them” and said: “I am not only talking about the fee. Psychotechnical tests, psychological reinforcements, training… There are 6 thousand people who have accidents at least 3 times a year. Some of them crashed. 8 times. I don’t call them ‘drivers’, something else… The public calls them ‘traffic monsters’”.
Eroğlu said: “We need to rehabilitate them” and continued his words as follows;
“I do not claim to be involved in an accident. He is imperfectly involved in an accident. Anyone can be involved in an accident. When you obey the traffic rules, why will you be involved in the accident? Here’s something else. I think these people should have their licenses suspended if necessary. Just as when a person is caught in a drunken state their license is suspended for 6 months, it is something different if a person has an accident 5 times a year…”
‘THE TRAFFIC MONSTER CANNOT FIND A JOB’
Eroğlu stated that the implementation of the traffic record certificate is a revolution and the importance of this is not widely understood by the public, saying, “We will bring the obligation or opportunity to submit drivers’ traffic history to companies. Traffic history is currently not available, but once this feature is introduced, one will be able to view their own history. Therefore, the bus operator, who believes that his reputation will be negatively affected due to an accident, said that when the bus operator asks the drivers for this document, the traffic freaks will not be able to find a job.
