Minister Bilgin gave a date for EYT
Vedat Bilgin, Minister of Labor and Social Security, made further statements on the retirement age (EYT).
Bilgin said: “I hope we can finish the job by the end of December and take it to Parliament. Because we work very fast, ”he said.
“Our work on EYT is not complete yet, we’ll explain it when it’s done,” Bilgin said, “There’s nothing hidden here. I told you in the Assembly, the numbers on EYT change every month. We were saying June 1 figures, 5 million. It is now around 1.8 million. We need to evaluate the known facts, including these figures, and make our calculations accordingly.”
“I think it will end at the end of the month”
Noting that there are people who have worked in different workplaces, with or without consolidation of services, Bilgin said:
“When EYT comes to the fore, there are those who apply to us. Those that were not previously included in our records in the digital environment come with their files. The service is being reviewed and consolidated. This is a technical job. All these works will be completed, I think it will be finished by the end of the month. I hope that by the end of December we will finish the work and take it to Parliament. Because we work very fast. It is not new, we have been working for a long time”.
‘WE WILL ELIMINATE OBSTACLES TO UNITATION’
When asked about “working toward unionization,” Bilgin said they constantly talk to unions about the process of organizing workers.
Stating that there are issues that are not implemented and need to be changed, Bilgin said:
“We will make a change in the regulation of the business line. We have legal work, we will take it to parliament. In current law, the pattern creates its own spin, we suppress it. We look at the work done, we assign the line of business according to the line of business it is in. The law gives us that power. That authority has not been used effectively, but we will use it now. We will remove all obstacles to unionization.” (AA)
