Fuat Oktay’s statement on Erdogan’s salary

Fuat Oktay responded to questions from deputies about the president’s salary as follows:

* “Although the allocations of previous presidents, parliament speakers and retired deputies were determined based on the salary of our President, the allocations for the second semester of 2022 and for the year 2023 were not increased from the date on which the salaries of the parliamentary presidents and retired deputies were cut from the presidential allowance with Law No. 7417. The net salary of our president in the 2022 budget is only 66 thousand 445 TL. Since this date, there has been no increase in the salary of our President.

Ok, to the question from the deputies about the budget of the National Security Council, “There were questions about the budget of the NSC, why it increased. The initial endowment of the increase here is 73 million in 2022, including the additional budget. 114 million 297 thousand in 2023. Therefore, 73.65 percent of the budget is made up of personnel expenses, 8.38 percent of current expenses, 1.70 percent of current transfers and 16.28 percent of Capital expenditures.
