Agricultural insurance premium support rates were determined
The risks that the Agricultural Insurance Fund (TARSİM) will cover next year, the products and the premium support rates were determined.
The President’s Decision on Risks, Products and Regions to be Covered by the Agricultural Insurance Fund in 2023 and Premium Support Rates was published in the Official Gazette.
With the decision, scope expansion studies were conducted in addition to the practices implemented in 2022.
Thus, a total of 134 discounts were made in the price of the hail risk rate, and a discount of 5 to 15 percent was made on the product in the herbal insurance. The tariff price of the wheat product was reduced by 6 percent. The double policy discount applied on crop and village based drought yield insurance was increased from 5 to 10 percent.
5 PERCENT DISCOUNT ON TREE INSURANCE
In tree insurance, a 5% “double tree policy discount” application was introduced for parcels with tree and produce policies on the same parcel.
In cherry trees and cherries, the collateral initiation was changed from the “first flowering” stage to the “white bud” stage.
The risk of frost in artichokes (vegetables) was included in the scope of the insurance as an optional additional cover.
In melon and watermelon, the coverage includes damage due to the risk of frost that will cause reseeding during the seedling period.
The coverage covers damages due to the risk of frost that will cause replanting in the seedling period in tomato, pepper, eggplant, melon and watermelon products grown in low tunnels in greenhouses.
Coinsurance rates for kiwis, plums and apricots were reduced by 5 to 10 percent.
The risk of “wild boar damage” in low tunnels in greenhouse production is covered by the cover.
In greenhouse insurance, the cost of cover repair was increased from 250 lira to 1000 lira.
Initiated a 5 percent discount on the total policy premium on greenhouses determined to use geothermal resources within the scope of renewable energy resources.
DISCOUNT ON ANIMAL INSURANCE
In bovine life insurance, a discount of 6 percent was made in the tariff price for dairy cattle and 5 percent for beef cattle.
The cost of abortion, which was 15 percent on cattle life insurance, was increased to 20 percent. The 5 percent exemption rate for the “terror, strike, lockout, riots, popular movements” guarantee is eliminated.
A 5 percent discount was introduced for livestock breeding enterprises that produce active biogas energy from a renewable energy source and are determined to use it according to the risk analysis result.
Within the scope of small livestock life insurance, the coinsurance rate was reduced from 30 percent to 20 percent for damages such as additional illness, falls off a cliff, and wolf bites.
A 10% discount was made on the comprehensive rate prices for poultry life insurance. The coinsurance, which was 20 percent on this insurance, was reduced to 10 percent.
A 10% discount was made in the tariff prices of aquaculture life insurance.
The coverage “Terrorism, strikes, lockouts, riots, popular movements” was included as optional additional coverage in bovine, sheep, poultry and aquaculture life insurance.
INCREASE IN THE DISCOUNT FOR WOMEN FARMERS
In all branches, the discount for women farmers was increased from 5 to 10 percent. In the young farmer discount, the age limit for the young farmer was increased from 30 to 40 years.
For the first time, a 5% discount for “families of martyrs and veterans” was introduced in all insurance lines.
The regulations will be developed within the scope of the general conditions, rates and instructions of the branches of agricultural insurance.
