Turkey’s exports to Israel reached record levels
While Turkey’s exports to Israel reached an all-time January-November high of $6.111 billion, the biggest contribution to that record came from the steel industry.
It is seen that the recent normalization of Turkey’s relations with Israel has had a positive impact on the trade of both countries.
According to information collected from the Turkish Exporters Assembly (TIM) data, Turkey’s exports to Israel increased by 11.9 percent in 11 months compared to the same period last year.
Thus, while exports to Israel reached 6,111 million dollars in 11 months, this figure was recorded as the highest from January to November of all time.
Israel’s share in Turkey’s total exports was 2.6 percent in this period.
IN THE TOP 10 AMONG THE MOST EXPORTED
In said period, Israel became the tenth country to which Turkey made the most foreign sales and the twelfth country with the largest increase in exports in value terms.
Turkey’s exports to Israel increased by 650 million 523 thousand dollars in the 11 months of the year compared to the same period of the previous year.
The industrial sector came to the fore in exports to the country.
THE STEEL INDUSTRY FORWARD
The steel industry was the one that exported the most to the country with 1,411 million dollars.
Materials and chemical products with 670 million 990 thousand dollars, automotive industry with 545 million 583 thousand dollars, clothing and clothing with 483 million 61 thousand dollars, furniture, paper and forestry products with 443 million 137 thousand dollars, glass-ceramic cement and ceramics with 438 million 62 thousand dollars followed the products of the soil.
The sectors in which the country showed less demand were plants and ornamental products with 58 thousand dollars, yachts and nautical services with 758 thousand dollars, other industrial products with 4 million 856 thousand dollars, olive and olive oil with 8 million 636 thousand dollars, and hazelnut products with 12 million 37 thousand dollars.
ELECTRICAL AND ELECTRONIC MONITORING
In the period January-November, the steel industry made the largest increase in exports to Israel, with 172 million 525 thousand dollars.
Exports to the country increased by 94 million 460 thousand dollars, electricity and electronics by 88 million 189 thousand dollars, furniture, paper and forest products by 77 million 224 thousand dollars, and materials and chemical products by 46 million 374 thousand dollars.
The electrical and electronic sector exported to the country 397 million 870 thousand dollars. (AA)
