Turkcell becomes sole shareholder of Belarusian subsidiary BeST

Turkcell became the company’s sole partner by acquiring the shares it did not own in BeST, the mobile phone network operator it owns in Belarus.

According to the statement made last night to the KAP, Turkcell has increased the percentage that it does not have. 20 shares for approximately $1,200 (1,165.66) Purchased from the Belarusian state.

100 MILLION DOLLARS IN 10 YEARS

The company also made an amendment to the contract it signed with the Belarusian state in 2008, removing the obligation to pay $100 million to Belarus, while introducing an obligation to pay $100 million within 10 years.

Finally, the decision was made to increase operational profitability by reorganizing call termination rates among other network operators in Belarus for 5 years. (Reuters)
