Instagram closed the account of the president of DISK
The Instagram account of Arzu Çerkezoğlu, president of the Confederation of Revolutionary Workers’ Unions (DİSK), has been permanently closed.
Recalling that DİSK’s account was also closed in recent weeks, Çerkezoğlu said, “In a critical period for the working class, they have ‘censored’ our accounts for a total of about a week. What is your problem with the working class and DİSK?
THEY OBJECTED AND RECEIVED A REJECTION
Çerkezoğlu said, “In the past two weeks, Instagram, which closed DİSK’s account twice on the grounds that it ‘didn’t follow the community rules’ and then opened it with an apology, closed my account this time. It’s getting harder and harder to believe that what was done was a ‘mistake,'” he said.
Çerkezoğlu said, “Instagram owes an explanation about the three shutdown decisions against us in the last two weeks,” saying that he received a rejection response to his objection.
Çerkezoğlu said: “My account has been permanently closed. What community rules we didn’t follow, what post violated these rules! “This arbitrary decision is an attack on the right of the working class to communicate,” he said. (PHOENIX)
