Gazprom: Record daily shipments of natural gas to China

Russian energy company Gazprom reported that a record daily shipment of natural gas to China through the Power of Siberia pipeline has been broken.

In the statement made by Gazprom, it was noted that 16.1 percent more natural gas was shipped to China on December 7 than its contractual obligations.

Thus, when noting that the daily record in shipments via Power of Siberia was broken, it was stated that the shipment was made under the long-term natural gas contract between Gazprom and the Chinese CNPC.

DECREASED PRODUCTION

In the statement, no information was shared about the volume of said shipment.

While many countries in Europe stopped their purchases of Russian gas completely, some countries also reduced their purchases.

Gazprom’s natural gas exports fell 44.5 percent and output 19.4 percent in the January-November period compared with the same period a year earlier. (AA)
