The question “How much will the minimum wage be?” It is eagerly awaited by millions of people. The critical meeting is now just a short time away. Although the minimum wage is not expected to be determined at the first meeting, the demands of the parties will be expressed and opinions will be presented for the increase of the minimum wage.

WHEN IS THE MINIMUM WAGE MEETING?

The Minimum Wage Determination Commission will hold its first official meeting this Wednesday to determine the salary that will apply next year.

Although the commission participants stated that their objective is to determine the minimum wage unanimously from the third meeting, the second meeting will be held on December 14.

It is expected that in the third meeting the minimum wage to be made in 2023 will be clarified, that is, no later than the last week of the year.

The Minimum Wage Determination Commission, which is made up of representatives of workers, employers and the State, determines the minimum wage.

HOW MUCH WILL THE MINIMUM FEE BE?

Türk-İş President Ergün Atalay said that the red line in the minimum wage is 7,785 TL.

Other participants have not yet announced a figure, but the markets will follow the negotiation process to understand the income that the Treasury will give up for 2023 and the possible contribution of the Insurance and Unemployment Fund.

According to the news from SÖZCÜ’s Erdoğan Süzer, power is accumulating on the Türk-İş front to the tune of more than 8 thousand lira.

Speaking to SÖZCÜ, a union president said: “Such numbers have been flying for months that the worker took 8 thousand lira and put it in his pocket. He now he is waiting for what can be taken ”.

On the business side, although no specific figures are expressed, a rate such as ‘inflation + 10 points’ is warmly considered.

HUNGER LIMIT INCREASED TO 7,786 TL IN NOVEMBER

On the other hand, according to Türk-İş data, the hunger limit that covers the monthly food expenses of a family of four was 7,425 TL in October, while it increased to 7,786 TL in November.

The workers demand that the minimum wage be determined taking these figures into account.
