“TURKEY WILL BE INDEPENDENT IN ENERGY”
Minister Dönmez said:
* “As you know, on October 28, our Honorable President shared his vision of the Century of Turkey with our entire nation, our people. Together we will build the century of Turkey. Turkey will become energy independent. We are accelerating projects related to the search for our own resources and putting them into production to make them energy independent.
* In this context, we started looking for areas that have been neglected and unexplored for years, both on land and at sea. God also smiled at us. Now the time to reap the fruits is slowly approaching. Let us hope that next year we will be illuminated by the fire of discovery in the 100th year of the Republic. It will start using the gas that comes out in Ardahan, Kars and Edirne.”
“WE ARE TAKING STEPS TO CREATE A GAS CENTER IN TURKEY”
Explaining that they have implemented the strategy of becoming an energy hub in the Turkey region on an issue they are sensitively working on, Dönmez said: “We are no longer the only ones saying this. The leaders of the countries that are the source of our region, the officials of the countries that demand this energy and natural gas began to express themselves. We will complete our work from next year. We are taking steps to establish a gas hub in Turkey. We will clarify our roadmap by the end of the year. We want to clarify the strategy by bringing together both the countries of origin and the countries that aspire to natural gas at a table. We want to act together with all of our stakeholders,” he said.
PUTIN SUGGESTED
Russian President Vladimir Putin, repeating his suggestion that “we can establish a large supply center in Turkey”, which he expressed during his meeting with AKP President and Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan in Astana, the capital of Kazakhstan, said : “Very quickly, you can establish a gas hub in Turkey,” he said.
