Discount on Tesla Model S and Model X

The American electric vehicle company Tesla has reduced the price of the two most expensive electric vehicle models in the US after the company’s CEO, Elon Musk, announced that the latest discounts on different models increased demand.

Tesla cut the price of the Model S Performance vehicle by 4 percent and the more expensive Model X vehicle by 9 percent, making it the fifth price adjustment since the start of the year with variable discounts in this range.

Musk has stated many times in recent months that Tesla will focus on cutting prices to increase demand and announced that there has been an increase in orders with the worldwide discounts applied in January.

Tesla has yet to respond to questions about the latest discount.

Although Tesla announced discounts of up to 20 percent by lowering prices in all markets where it sold in January, analysts interpreted this as the company, the leader in the electric vehicle market, starting a price war. (Reuters)
