The best-selling automotive brands in February were revealed
The top-selling brands in the Turkish car and light commercial vehicle market in February were Fiat, Renault and Ford.
According to data from the Automotive Distributors and Mobility Association (ODMD), the total sales of cars and light commercial vehicles in Turkey increased by 50.4 percent in the period January-February 2023 compared to the same period of the previous year and rose to 132 thousand 42.
In the January-February 2023 period, car sales increased 44.3 percent to 96,195, while light commercial vehicle sales increased 69.7 percent to 35,847.
As of February of this year, the automobile and light commercial vehicle market grew 63.4 percent compared to February 2022 and reached 81,148 units. This was recorded as the highest February of all time.
TOP 5 IN THE TOTAL MARKET
According to information compiled by the AA correspondent from the ODMD report, Fiat ranked first with 19,311 units in passenger and light commercial sales last month. It was followed by Renault with 8,875 sales and Ford with 8,112 sales.
Peugeot was fourth with 6,552 sales and Opel was fifth with 4,721 sales.
Fiat was the brand that sold the most cars in February with 12,924. Renault followed Fiat with 7,318 sales and Peugeot with 5,065 sales.
Hyundai ranked fourth with 4,014 sales, while Opel ranked fifth with 3,519 sales.
LUXURY CAR SALE
In the list of 46 brands for car sales, all brands were sold except Chery, which has not been sold yet, as well as Smart, Aston Martin and Ferrari.
In the luxury car group, 98 Porsche, 14 Maserati, 5 Lexus, 4 Jaguar, 2 Bentley and 1 Lamborghini were sold in February.
As for the light commercial vehicle segment, Ford topped the list with 6,467 sales in February. Ford was followed by Fiat with 6,387 sales and Renault with 1,557 sales.
Peugeot was fourth with 1,487 sales and Volkswagen was fifth with 1,466 sales. (AA)
