Turkey’s automotive reality: These brands sold more in 2022
According to data from the Association of Automotive and Mobility Dealers (ODMD), the total sales of cars and light commercial vehicles in Turkey increased by 6.2 percent compared to the previous year and reached 783,283 units in 2022.
Auto sales rose 5.5 percent to 592,660 and light commercial vehicle sales rose 8.6 percent to 190,623.
According to the data collected from the ODMD report, Fiat ranked first with 146,435 units in total sales, between passenger cars and light commercial vehicles. Renault came in second with 99,639 sales and Ford came in third with 77,435 sales.
Volkswagen ranks fourth with 60,341 sales and Toyota ranks fifth with 49,937 sales.
TOP 5 CAR
Last year, Fiat was the brand that sold the most cars, with 97,354 units. It was followed by Renault with 88,206 and VW with 49,695 sales.
Hyundai ranked fourth with 42,241 sales, while Toyota ranked fifth with 38,276 sales.
14 LAMBORGHINI SOLD
On the list, which included 41 brands last year, sales were made from all brands except Smart.
In 2022, 14 Lamborghinis, 15 Bentleys, 22 Ferraris, 28 Aston Martins, 90 Jaguars, 314 Maseratis, 336 Lexus and 668 Porsches were sold.
FORD FIRST IN LIGHT COMMERCIAL
As for the light commercial vehicle segment, Ford ranked first on the list with 66,132 sales. Ford was followed by Fiat with 49,081 sales and Toyota with 11,661 sales.
Renault was fourth with 11,433 sales and Volkswagen was fifth with 10,646 sales. (AA)
