Car production and sales fall in China
According to data from the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM), 2 million 386 thousand cars were produced in November, while 2 million 328 thousand new vehicles were sold.
Both auto production and sales fell 7.9 percent in November.
While passenger car production decreased by 3.9 percent, commercial vehicle production by 33.4 percent, passenger car sales decreased by 5.6 percent and commercial vehicle sales by 23, 4 percent.
On the other hand, there was an annual increase of 64.8 percent in automobile exports. While in November 329,000 automobiles were exported, of which 276,000 were passenger cars and 53,000 commercial vehicles.
THE PRODUCTION OF ELECTRIC CARS INCREASES
On the other hand, sales of rechargeable battery, hybrid and fuel cell electric cars called “New Energy Vehicle” (NEV) increased in the 11 months of 2022 compared to last year.
While 768,000 NEVs were produced in November, 786,000 vehicles were sold in the domestic market. There was an annual increase of 65.6 percent in production and 72.3 percent in sales.
While 95,000 electric vehicles were sold abroad, exports increased by 154.9 compared to last year.
In the 11 months of the year, NEV’s production increased 104.5 percent, sales increased 100.6 percent, and exports increased 104.9 percent compared with the same period of the previous year. (AA)
